Vaccination is a hot topic when it comes to autism. Some families living autism believe their children were adversely affected by vaccines and some families do not. TACA supports a family’s individual right to make the best decision for the care and treatment of their child. We encourage a strong partnership with their family physician, taking into account their current medical status and co-morbid conditions when approaching any medical procedure.
Vaccine manufacturers have guidelines that are supposed to be followed during vaccination to help prevent adverse reactions. Make sure you know what they are to help keep your kids healthy.
The TACA Physician Advisory Board has provided information about your vaccination choices.
And if you are not sure, do not be pressured. Exemptions in almost every state (yes, even for school!).
