Description
Autism spectrum disorder (ASD) is a behaviorally defined disorder that affects 2-3% of children in the United States. Currently, there are no approved treatments for the core symptoms of ASD. This presentation reviews medications and nutritional supplements which have been studied in individuals with ASD; a number of these treatments help improve the core features of autism.
Dr. Rossignol will review the levels of evidence (LOE) as well as a grade of recommendation (GOR) for each reviewed treatment. Attendees will gain knowledge concerning the most promising treatments for ASD as well as potential adverse effects. This presentation will help parents seek out the most effective and proven treatments for their child. If you haven’t signed up for TACA Connect yet, click here for information on how to download the app on your phone or sign up via a desktop computer to attend.
