Avocado Vierge - GFCFSF
3-6 tablespoons olive oil
1/2 avocado, pitted, diced
2 tablespoons jalapeño, seeded, finely chopped
2 garlic cloves, minced
1 teaspoon finely chopped shallot
2 limes, juiced
4 tablespoons coarsely chopped fresh cilantro leaves
Salt and Pepper
Combine oil, avocado, lime juice, jalapeño, garlic and shallots in a medium bowl. Season with salt and pepper. Stir to combine.
DO AHEAD: Sauce can be made 2 days ahead. Press a piece of plastic wrap directly onto surface of sauce. Cover and chill. Bring sauce to room temperature before continuing.
Using a fork, smash avocado a bit. Then stir basil and cilantro into sauce just before serving.
