Croutons - GFCFSF
3 slices of your favorite GFCFSF bread, cut into cubes
2 cloves fresh garlic, finely minced
1 tablespoon GFCFSF "Parmesan cheese", optional
Mix all ingredients in a bowl, making sure you get some oil on each bread cube, but don't oversoak them or they will be greasy. Arrange in a single layer on a baking pan and bake at 400 for 10-12 minutes or until lightly browned. Ideally, you want them to be crunchy on the outside but still a little tender on the inside.
Note: Figure on 1/2 slice bread per salad/person, so 3 slices of bread will make 6 salads.
