Penne Pasta with Broccoli and Garlic - GFCFSF

1 bag of Tinkyada Brown Rice Penne Pasta
1/2 cup Olive oil
1 head broccoli, cut into florets
4 cloves garlic, minced
Crushed Red pepper flakes
Salt and pepper to taste
Zest from 1 lemon
Optional additions: Grilled chicken, shrimp

Bring a large pot of water to a rolling boil, add in small handful of salt. Boil pasta to al dente.

While pasta is cooking, in another pan, heat oil, stir in garlic, red pepper and broccoli to coat evenly with oil. Cover and cook, stirring occasionally, until broccoli is almost done. If needed, add more oil. Add in zest, salt and pepper, stir well. Drain pasta and add into pan with broccoli, tossing to coat pasta.

Add cooked meat, if desired, and warm through. Serve warm.
