"How to Assess and Implement Corrective Exercises in Children with ASD Right Hemisphere Delays"

This workshop is a hands on tutorial for using Dr. Robert J. Melillo’s bestselling book Disconnected Kids. Learn the basis of the model, how to assess a child for a brain delay and how to use hemispheric specific exercises to help balance the brain. Take this workshop and use these strategies immediately in your classroom or at home.

Learning Objectives:
1. Learn the principles of Hemisphericity regarding ASD’s.
2. Learn how to assess a child for a hemispheric delay
3. Learn how to use the appropriate exercises for the type of delay that was found.

Speaker: Peter J. Scire, DC
Dr. Peter J. Scire, known as the “Brain Doctor”, is the Executive Director of Brain Balance Achievement Centers in Atlanta. Dr. Scire received his DC degree from Life University in Atlanta and has completed graduate studies in clinical neurology, nutrition and vestibular rehabilitation at the Carrick Institute of Graduate Studies. He is a board eligible Chiropractic Neurologist. He is a frequent lecturer to health care providers, educators and support groups on Functional Disconnection Syndrome and Hemispheric Integration and their applications for children with neurobehavioral and developmental disorders including AD/HD, Asperger’s, Autism, Dyslexia, Learning Disabilities and others. Dr. Scire currently oversees Brain Balance of Atlanta which is a unique, state of the art program that identifies and addresses Functional Disconnection Syndrome.

How TACA Helps Georgia Families

TACA does not charge admission to the meetings, nor does it assess annual membership fees for families it supports. Meetings feature:

  • Free TACA Autism Journey Guides (over 750 pages of collective knowledge gathered from experienced paraprofessionals and parents) are offered to all parents who are attending their first Chapter meeting.
  • Speakers on topics ranging from traditional therapies, integrated medical treatments, education, and legal support.
  • TACA's Parent Mentors - one-on-one access to experienced families who have successfully navigated the challenges of finding appropriate treatments and educational opportunities for their children, and who receive additional education from TACA's Foundation Office.
