NAPERVILLE & OAK PARK CHAPTER MEETING

Neurofeedback with Autism

Thursday, February 9, 2012

Speaker: Ann Rigby, Director of The Neuroconnection

Ann Rigby, Director of the Neuroconnection, will speak on the benefits of neurofeeback with autism. Connectivity Guided Neurofeedback is an empirically based, advanced type of neurofeedback developed by Robert Coben, PhD shown to significantly reduce autism symptoms in clinical studies. Using this neurofeedback method in her clinic, Ann Rigby will discuss how brain maps have improved and symptoms of autism have decreased an average of 56% in those completing neurofeedback training at The Neuroconnection Clinic. Ms. Rigby will also review how Connectivity Guided Neurofeedback can make changes in seizure frequency and intensity in Autism cases, improving functioning in the areas of cognition, attention, communication and social pragmatics. The latest findings of the long-term effects of Neurofeedback with children will also be discussed.
