IHSSadvocates provides comprehensive advocacy services for those families who have applied for In-Home Supportive Services (IHSS) and been denied Protective Supervision. In order to obtain and maintain their IHSS benefits, we provide our client families with multiple year coverage. The barriers encountered by families seeking Protective Supervision can be extremely difficult to overcome. As a result, many families simply give up. Our service is contingent; meaning that no fees are due unless IHSSadvocates succeeds in obtaining Protective Supervision for its client families. With no legal retainers required and a “share the rewards of success” perspective, IHSSadvocates’ services have been described as “no-risk,” the fee structure as seemingly “nothing-out-of-pocket,” and its performance as “professional, thorough and personable.” ihssadvocate.com

SNL Learning is an organization that provides private, in-home tutoring by teaching learning strategies through reading comprehension. We primarily serve children with learning difficulties, especially those on the Autism Spectrum. We understand that the act of reading is not the same as comprehension, and in many cases, a child’s performance may suffer in multiple school subjects if they do not fully comprehend what they are reading. Our curriculum is designed to teach students how to organize information in order to help them recognize the patterns that go into comprehension and ultimately, help them think more independently. Our Learning Specialists build relationships with children and their families to understand their desired areas of focus and provide dynamic, creative, and enjoyable learning. www.snllearning.com

How TACA Helps Inland Empire Families

TACA does not charge admission to the meetings, nor does it assess annual membership fees for families it supports. Meetings feature:

  • Free TACA Autism Journey Guides (over 750 pages of collective knowledge gathered from experienced paraprofessionals and parents) are offered to all parents who are attending their first Chapter meeting.
  • Speakers on topics ranging from traditional therapies, integrated medical treatments, education, and legal support.
  • TACA's Parent Mentors - one-on-one access to experienced families who have successfully navigated the challenges of finding appropriate treatments and educational opportunities for their children, and who receive additional education from TACA's Foundation Office.
