Southern California’s 11th Annual School District Roundtable: Moderated by local Special Education Attorneys
Do you need help in navigating your child’s special education? Would you like to know if your child is receiving the services he/she is entitled to? Would you like to hear ideas for new IEP goals and learn about resources within your school district? Attendees will be divided into small groups and organized by school district. To help facilitate the meeting, TACA has sought the assistance of local special education attorneys and advocates to participate in the group discussions. These volunteers will moderate the groups to stay on target and to make sure everyone has an opportunity to participate.
The goal of this IEP Roundtable Meeting is:
-Connect special needs parents to other parents within their own community.
-Discuss district high points and possible issues.
-Review good resources within the district (i.e. school settings, teachers, parent resources etc.).
-Get your questions answered by local attorneys and/or advocates working within your community.
-Use the time to share important information about our children. |

The Kingdom of Should is an audio story for and about children on the autism spectrum. Our therapeutically designed musical soundtrack stimulates the brain using specially designed tones and rhythms. An audio story stimulates the brain better than relying on a computer screen. Free downloadable coloring pages available on our website will provide useful, creative eye/hand activity to replace self-stimulating behaviors while enjoying The Kingdom of Should. Lesson plans with summaries, activities and discussion themes for each chapter enhance the interactive potential for parents, teachers and children to utilize this story to its fullest.
