MARCH 2013

MARYLAND & WASHINGTON, D.C. CHAPTER MEETING

The IEP Meeting

Tuesday, March 12, 2013

  • Time: 7:00 PM - 9:00 PM
  • Location: Severna Park Baptist Church
    506 Benfield Rd.
    Severna Park, MD 21146
  • Driving Directions

Speaker: Linda Carter-Ferrier

Parents are an important part of the IEP team, but many find it difficult to evaluate how their child’s IEP measures up. Linda Carter-Ferrier, educational advocate and parent of two sons on the autism spectrum, will use real-life examples to show us how good IEPs are built, using quarterly reports and present levels to develop measurable and attainable goals and objectives.

Time will be allotted for Q&A and discussion. We’re tackling this important topic in time for ‘IEP season,’ aiming to arm our families with knowledge in time for their annual meetings.

TACA is committed to ensuring equal participation of all its members. Please contact us if you will require an accommodation to participate in this activity.
