Speaker: Dr. Michael Elice

Do you know the variety of ways allergens can affect your child with Autism? In this presentation, Dr. Elice will teach us how recognize the obvious and less typical symptoms of allergies and how to overcome them. He will discuss testing, specifically serial end point testing, as well as treatment using intranasal desensitization. Dr. Elice is fresh off his recent presentation to fellow practitioners at last month’s MedMaps conference — come learn what the top professionals are learning to help your child!

Michael W. Elice, M.D. is a board certified pediatrician who has been in clinical practice for 34 years. After recognizing the evolution of autism spectrum disorder in his patients, Dr. Elice changed his focus from general pediatrics to children and adolescents with autism and related immunological disorders. He has attended and lectured at autism conference around the country. Dr. Elice is a clinical professor of pediatrics at the Cohen’s Children’s Hospital of North Shore Long Island Jewish Health System in New York. He is on the advisory boards of the New York Metro Chapter of the National Autism Association and New York Families of Autistic Children. Dr. Elice has written several chapters for Cutting Edge Therapies for Autism. Dr. Elice is currently the physician in charge of AIM Integrative Medicine; a comprehensive and unique facility for the biomedical treatment of autism, allergies, and immunological and metabolic issues in Woodbury, NY.
