About TACA
Talk About Curing Autism (TACA) provides information, resources, and support to families affected by autism. For families who have just received the autism diagnosis, TACA aims to speed up the cycle time from the autism diagnosis to effective treatments. TACA helps to strengthen the autism community by connecting families and the professionals who can help them, allowing them to share stories and information to help people with autism be the best they can be.

Chapter Meetings in Visalia are on hiatus as we look for qualified volunteers to fill the role of Chapter Coordinators.
Coffee Talks are still available (check dates, times, and locations below), hosted by Lynne Arnold and Melanie Vanciel.
Criteria for the Chapter Coordinator volunteer position:
- Be a TACA Member (Join on our website here, it's FREE!)
- Are you the parent or grandparent of a child with autism who lives with you? Have you been on the autism biomedical journey for a minimum of two years?
- Apply to be a TACA Parent Mentor:
- Qualifications to become a Parent Mentor can be found online HERE.
- After approval, participate in a one-time New Mentor Training free conference call and monthly Mentor Support Calls.

How TACA Helps San Joaquin Valley Families
TACA does not charge admission to the meetings, nor does it assess annual membership fees for families it supports. Meetings feature:
- Free TACA Autism Journey Guides (over 750 pages of collective knowledge gathered from experienced paraprofessionals and parents) are offered to all parents who are attending their first Chapter meeting.
- Speakers on topics ranging from traditional therapies, integrated medical treatments, education, and legal support.
- TACA's Parent Mentors - one-on-one access to experienced families who have successfully navigated the challenges of finding appropriate treatments and educational opportunities for their children, and who receive additional education from TACA's Foundation Office.
