Practical ABA strategies to teach new skills, build independence, and support progress across the lifespan.

Teaching new skills can feel overwhelming when families aren’t sure where to start or how to provide the right level of support. This session introduces practical Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) strategies for helping learners develop functional, age-appropriate skills across the lifespan. Families and caregivers will learn how to identify and prioritize meaningful skill goals, use prompting and task analysis to break skills into manageable steps, and apply reinforcement to encourage learning and independence. The session also offers actionable strategies for building practice into everyday routines, fading support over time, and celebrating incremental progress.
