Board Members

The TACA Board of Directors is a dedicated group of volunteer leaders who bring valuable industry expertise and dedication to advance our mission. Each board member actively serves on a committee, providing strategic guidance and support to help families living with autism.

Board members focus on these goals:

• Providing governance and oversight to the foundation
• Meeting minimum annual fundraising commitments to sustain TACA’s programs and services
• Participate in our quarterly board meetings
• Join us at one or more programming activities

Autism Ambassadors

In 2010, TACA established the Ambassador Program to support our mission of helping families living with autism through fundraising, advocacy, and awareness.

Ambassador mission:

To bring together a group of business professionals who serve as ambassadors for TACA, helping to raise awareness and support for the foundation and the autism community.

Ambassador responsibilities include:

1. Supporting event fundraising efforts, including sponsorship, attendee engagement, and auction item acquisition.
2. Representing TACA in educational presentations or coordinating opportunities for the Executive Director to present on behalf of the foundation.
3. Contributing expertise or resources to help meet specific needs of the TACA foundation.
4. Ambassadors are nominated by TACA’s Board of Directors, key staff, or other Ambassadors.

Physician & Science Advisory Board

At TACA, we are committed to helping families who have just received an autism diagnosis by accelerating the path from diagnosis to effective treatments. To ensure the medical information we provide is accurate, current, and actionable, we established the TACA Physician & Science Advisory Board.

Our Advisory Board is comprised of practicing physicians who serve families and children, as well as scientists actively publishing studies in the field. Together, they work to connect families with treating physicians and improve the lives of those affected by autism and related medical conditions.

Key responsibilities include:

1. Reviewing and authoring articles and conference presentations for TACA families on medically related topics.
2. Educating pediatricians and family doctors on early diagnosis and effective treatment strategies.
3. Responding to media inquiries regarding autism and related medical conditions.
