Scarlett K vonThenen
Scarlett K. vonThenen is the Regional Manager at the State Council on Developmental Disabilities (SCDD), Orange County Office. She provides training, technical assistance, capacity-building, and systemic change advocacy for self-advocates and families in Orange County. She serves as a Public Agency Representative on the Orange County Child Care and Development Planning Council, and facilitates for, and participates in, numerous other collaboratives in Orange County. Prior to SCDD, Scarlett worked with adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities in their own home doing independent living skills training and job coaching before joining Regional Center of Orange County as a service coordinator. She has 18 years’ experience working with persons with intellectual and developmental disabilities in all facets of life, from direct care to providing advocacy at hundreds of IEP meetings, Regional Center IPP, IHSS, CCS, and Social Security Disability meetings and appeals.
