Description

In this session, Leucovorin for Autism, Nicole Rincon, MS, PA-C, and Desiree Mills, RN, MSN, FNP-C, discuss how cerebral folate deficiency and folate receptor autoantibodies may contribute to autism and neurological symptoms. They explain folate transport into the brain, how it can become impaired, and why high-dose folinic acid (leucovorin) may help. The presentation reviews testing options, key clinical studies, and practical guidance on dosing, side effects, diet, and family screening. Nicole also shares her perspective as both a clinician and autism parent, followed by an audience Q&A.
