Introduction to Mike Le

I’m Mike Le, TACA’s new Executive Director.

I’ve spent my career building organizations that exist to serve people who need them. At PDS Health Foundation, we became a national voice in health equity. I came to TACA because this community, the families, the volunteers, the donors who have stayed the course for years, is one of the most active and trusted I have encountered in twenty-plus years of this work.

Three things I want you to know:

  • Lisa isn’t going anywhere. She leads TACA’s national family voice, community activation, and strategic partnerships. And she now serves on the Federal Interagency Autism Coordinating Committee, where she is the direct voice for autism families in federal research and policy decisions. You will still hear from her, see her at events, and feel her presence in this community.
  • TACA programs and services will continue while we work with the community to design enhancements that improve outcomes.
  • My job is to build the organizational capacity around the mission Lisa established, so we can reach more families, in more places, faster.
  • Community building is my why: creating the trust, connection and shared momentum needed to move from service delivery to systems change. We can change the world if we lock arms for impact.

What drew me to TACA is the community. Since 2000, TACA has served more than 100,000 parents and caregivers. But too many families are still navigating autism alone. My job is to make sure that shared voice reaches further nationally, and that the change families need actually shows up.

In the months ahead, I will be listening more than talking. If you want to share something with me, my inbox is open:  mike.le@tacanow.org.
