My one is Callan. He was non-verbal until he was 6 years old. We were told by a speech pathologist that he would never speak. After working with a couple of amazing speech therapists (one who introduced an AAC device, and one who diagnosed his apraxia), Callan is now fully verbal. He even taught himself to read without anyone’s help, using only his AAC device.
