My two ones are Cameron and Ashton, 3.5-year-old identical twins. Cameron loves guitars, sea creatures, and Blippi. He really struggled with speaking until this last year, when he blossomed using his AAC in addition to speech therapy. He went from speaking fewer than 10 words a day to well over 100 daily. Ashton loves teddy bears, swinging, and Bluey. While he did not struggle with speaking, he struggled with using his words functionally. Since starting AAC and speech therapy, he can now form sentences and use them in everyday conversation. Both boys are Gestalt Language Processors, and Ashton also uses echolalia to communicate. They have made huge strides since their diagnoses last year.
