TACA Volunteer Program
TACA Volunteers are Empowering Families and Inspiring Hope
Through local volunteers across the country, TACA is creating communities where parents are supported, informed, and empowered — so no family has to walk the autism journey alone.
WHAT WE ARE BUILDING
A National Network of Local Support
TACA’s Volunteer Program exists to build communities of connected parents who support one another, share trusted information, and help move each other forward on their autism journey.
Through local volunteers across the country, families gain access to real connection, practical education, and hope — right in their own communities.
Our volunteers help families:
- Feel less alone and isolated
- Access up-to-date research on autism, special education, and co-occurring conditions
- Navigate and create plans around for key topics like teens, adulthood, independence, therapies and home life
- Make informed decisions that support their loved one’s growth, needs, and future
Together, we are strengthening families - and strengthening communities.
WHY LOCAL VOLUNTEERS MATTER
Why Local Support Changes Everything
Local TACA volunteers make a difference by:
- Hosting parent support gatherings (Coffee Talks)
- Sharing trusted TACA resources in their communities with Outreach tables and presentations
- Connecting families to each other and the local community
- Providing a safe space to learn, ask questions, and feel understood
“When families are connected, informed, and supported — hope grows.”
