Whole Foods Market Tustin to Donate 5% of Net Sales on January 10th to TACA (Talk About Curing Autism) – TUSTIN LOCATION ONLY

Tustin, California – Whole Foods Market Tustin has elected to donate 5% of its net sales on Wednesday, January 10 th to TACA, a non profit group committed to connecting families with autism to services, education, and support related to the disorder. This 5% of net sales to TACA is only for the Whole Foods Tustin, CA location.

Whole Foods Market, committed to serving our community, is teaming up with TACA to help families with autism. Autism is a devastating neurological and biological disorder typically affecting children between the ages of 18 months to five years of age. Autism affects each individual differently and at different levels of severity. Some individuals with autism are severely affected, cannot speak, require constant one on one care, and are never able to live on their own. While others are less severe, can communicate, and eventually acquire the necessary skills to live on their own.

TACA has been providing support and education for families affected by autism in the California Autism Community for 6 years. 95% of what TACA provides is free. For families who have just received the autism diagnosis, TACA aims to speed up the cycle time that gets them from the autism diagnosis to the appropriate information that will lead to effective treatments. For all families, TACA has help build the California autism community by connecting people with each other and the professionals who can help them, thus allowing them access to valuable information that can help people with autism be the best that they can be.

Julio Cartagena, manager of Whole Foods Market in Tustin, said, “Giving back to our community expands our passion for quality foods into the larger arena of quality of life. We always look forward to giving our shoppers another chance to help others.”
