Biography

Darlene Hanson is a speech and language pathologist. She is a co-founder, and the Director of Communication with Kindred Communications. Kindred Communications provides virtual communication training in the area of AAC and communication partner skills development to families. She has also developed the GoKindred App and GoKindred Agency App to support families and services providers to build effective communication skills in their homes and agencies. Her professional experiences have included work in the public schools, private practice, Director of Communication Services for a Non-Profit, and is currently the Director of Empowerment with Disability Voices United. Over the course of the years, Darlene has taught at the University level, presented at local, state and national conferences, and has spoken at the United Nations for International Autism Day on the topic of AAC. Darlene currently provides training on autism, and Augmentative Communication strategies throughout the United States.
