The Role of Abnormal Physiology presented by Dr. Frye
Location: YOUR COMPUTER
Recent research has demonstrated that autism spectrum disorder is associated with several areas where there is abnormal physiology include metabolic disorders, including disorders of redox, methylation, folate and mitochondrial metabolism, as well as immune disorders include abnormal antibodies that attack the brain and system that transports folate into the brain. What is promising about these disorders is that they may be amenable to treatment. Studies have documented improvement in autism symptoms with many of these treatments in clinical studies which range from case reports to well-controlled randomized trials. This presentation will review the disorders associated with autism that could be amendable to treatment and the evidence for the potential treatments. Join us (FROM YOUR COMPUTER) on December 18th. RSVP to obtain the log-in information and set aside 60 minutes for learning about helping our children with autism.
