Gastrointestinal health has become a hot topic in today’s health-minded culture. Join Dr. Ben Ray for a closer look into how this system affects everything from behavioral health to immune function.
Topics covered will include:
-Overview of GI anatomy and physiology
-Relationship of gut health to pain, cognition, behavior, immune function, etc.
-Environmental and epigenetic impacts on gut health
-Diet and nutritional considerations for optimal gut function
-The impact of vagus nerve stimulation and rehabiliation
Dr. Ben Ray is a chiropractor with advanced training in clinical nutrition and applied functional medicine through Apex Energetics and the Carrick Institute of Graduate Studies, as well as additional education in functional movement. Along with his wife, he recently opened Radiant Life Chiropractic in Edmond, OK. Dr. Ben uses his training to treat simple to complex orthopedic and neurological-related conditions. His approach to patient care allows him to give new and different perspective to help his patients where conventional treatment has failed. His goal is to provide enhanced treatment through targeted physical and metabolic training and support.
