IEP Goals and Objectives

10:00 - 11:30 AM
Mendenhall Library
3025 Diamond Park Loop
Juneau, AK 99801

Speaker: Joan Gianotti
Joan Gianotti will present how best to write those very important IEP goals and objectives and choose proper accommodations, to ultimately help your child thrive in their school environment! This presentation will be followed by a Q&A. If there is time left over, we will have a round table discussion to help others develop IEP goals and accommodations!
Joan is currently a Homeschool Advisory Teacher at RAVEN Homeschool in Juneau and is a mother to 3, with an adult child on the Autism Spectrum. She has over 20 years of personal and professional experience navigating both the public and homeschool IEP process.
Joan has a Bachelor's degree and Teaching certification for K-8 from Gonzaga University and a Graduate certificate in Special Education from UAA. In 2017 she finished her Master's degree in Special Education, also from UAA. As an advisory teacher, she works with parents to create quality goals and accommodations during the IEP process. She looks forward to sharing her wealth of knowledge on this very important topic concerning special needs families.
