Version 1
- 4 apples, peeled, cored and sliced
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar
- 2 teaspoons cinnamon
Place apples, sugar and cinnamon in pan, cover and cook on low heat. The apples will excrete liquid to make the sugar into a sauce. Stir occasionally. Do not brown.
Serves 4
Version 2
I make these in bulk (10 bushels at a time) and then can them, but you can make them with as little as one apple. People describe this as “apple pie in a jar”. Yum! – Holly B.
