Crystal Y Sanford, MEd, MA, CCC-SLP

The owner and director of Sanford Autism Advocacy Group, LLC is Crystal Y. Sanford who has worked throughout the Los Angeles and San Diego Counties, serving the needs of children/adults with various communication challenges, with an emphasis on Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). She earned her first master’s degree in Communication Disorders from California State Los Angeles University, and an additional master’s degree in Education (Language and Literacy emphasis) from San Diego State University. She holds a Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) from the American Speech-Language & Hearing Association (ASHA), a California license in Speech-Language.

Pathology and a Clinical Rehabilitative Credential from the California Teachers Credentialing Agency. She has also obtained two Certificates of Completion in special education advocacy. Mrs. Sanford has enjoyed working with clients of all ages and varying ability levels, with an emphasis on adolescents, young adults, and children on the Autism spectrum.

In 2014, Mrs. Sanford’s own daughter was identified as being on the Autism spectrum. In the role as a parent, she began to seek local resources to help support her daughter and family. Through early intervention and connection with a caring community, her daughter continues to make gains as she becomes the best version of herself. Mrs. Sanford’s passion now is to empower families impacted by Autism and other challenges to persistently pursue what their children deserve at school.
