Description
Whether your nonspeaker is aged three or thirty-three, what does “presuming competence” look like in action and how can you help other team members or family members do it as well? Spelled communication requires that the individual teaching the student believe they are capable of learning and want to learn. For some, this new belief happens in a burning bush moment. For others, it’s a more gradual process. In this presentation Dawnmarie will share tips, show examples, and discuss strategies to build a robust team of support for your nonspeaking loved one through presuming competence.
