Description
Speech is one of the most portable and functional means of communication. However, for many, speech is not reliable or available. That is why we turn to augmentative communication. And it works. Once communication happens, many AAC users still want to speak. Today we will talk about developing speech and seeing ourselves as speaking persons through group speech therapy. Group speech therapy is building speech, confidence, and trust to be a speaking person. Together we are emerging speakers, on the road to speaking.
